Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 2026
What this policy covers
This privacy policy explains what data Clarity Now collects, how it is used, and how it is stored. Clarity Now is a personal productivity app designed to be private by default.
What Clarity Now collects
Clarity Now collects only the data you create inside the app:
- Areas, items, notes, and queue entries you create
- Focus session records (start time, duration, associated item)
- Trail history, a log of actions you take such as completing or queueing items
- Clarity Pulse responses, your daily reflection answers
- Weekly snapshots and Clarity Report data generated from your activity
If you sign in with Apple, Clarity Now receives:
- A unique, anonymous user identifier from Apple, not your real Apple ID
- Your name, only if you choose to share it
- Your email address, only if you choose to share it. Apple may provide a private relay address instead of your real email
Clarity Now does not collect:
- Location data
- Contacts, photos, or files
- Device identifiers or advertising identifiers
- Analytics, usage metrics, or behavioral tracking data
- Health, financial, or biometric data
How your data is used
Your data is used exclusively to provide the app's features to you. Areas, items, and Trail history are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. If you sign in with your Apple ID, your data syncs to your personal iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit framework. This data is stored in your iCloud account, not on servers owned or operated by Clarity Now or B7 Collective.
The Clarity Report and Clarity Pulse features analyze your activity patterns locally on your device. Report and reflection text is generated using Apple Foundation Models. This processing happens entirely on your device. No data is sent to any external server for AI processing.
Subscription status is managed by Apple through StoreKit. Clarity Now does not process or store payment information.
Third-party data sharing
Clarity Now does not share your data with any third party. There are no analytics services, advertising networks, third-party SDKs, or external servers that receive your data. The only external service involved is Apple's iCloud through CloudKit, which stores your synced data in your own iCloud account under Apple's privacy policy.
Data storage and security
Local data is stored on your device in an encrypted SwiftData database. Synced data is stored in your personal iCloud account, protected by your Apple ID credentials and Apple's security infrastructure. Clarity Now does not operate its own servers or databases.
Data retention
Your data is retained as long as you use the app. You can delete your data at any time:
- Use Reset All Data in Settings to delete all app data from your device and iCloud
- Use Delete Account in Settings to delete your account and all associated data permanently
- Deleting the app removes local data. iCloud data can be managed through your device's iCloud settings
Your rights and how to exercise them
Because Clarity Now stores your data on your device or in your personal iCloud account, you have direct control over it at all times. You may:
- Access your data by opening the app on your device
- Modify or delete any individual area, item, focus session, Trail event, Pulse response, or Clarity Report from inside the app
- Delete all your data using Reset All Data in Settings
- Delete your account using Delete Account in Settings, which permanently removes the anonymous Apple ID identifier we received from Apple along with any data we hold
- Revoke consent for iCloud sync at any time by signing out in Settings, or by disabling iCloud for Clarity Now in your device's iCloud settings
- Export your data by request at the contact email below. Because all your data is on your device, this is typically already in your possession
If you reside in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or California, you may have additional rights under the GDPR or CCPA, including the right to access, correct, port, or delete your personal data, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise any of these rights, contact claritynow@b7collective.com. Note that because Clarity Now does not collect or process your data on our servers, most rights are exercised directly through the app's Settings.
Sale of personal information
Clarity Now does not sell your personal information. There is no commercial exchange of your data. There are no advertising partners. There are no data brokers.
Children's privacy
Clarity Now does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. The app does not require an account to use and does not collect personal information beyond what is described above.
Changes to this policy
If this policy is updated, the Last updated date at the top will change. Continued use of the app after a policy update constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, B7 Collective shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app, including data loss. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability, so the above may not apply to you.
Data loss
While Clarity Now uses Apple's frameworks for data storage and sync, no system is immune to data loss. You are responsible for maintaining your own backups through iCloud or other means.
Termination
You may stop using Clarity Now at any time by deleting the app. You may delete your data and any associated account through the app's Settings. We reserve the right to discontinue features or the app itself with reasonable notice.
